Project Objective

The objective of the project is to develop a complex, innovative system prototype specifically designed for installation on railway passenger vehicles, conforming to international standards. The system integrates measurement data collection, seat occupancy indication, GPS passenger information, and display elements. During the project, the system will include indoor and outdoor environmental quality sensors—such as noise, temperature, humidity, 3D acceleration, and vibration measurement sensors. The collected data during nationwide train travel across diverse topographies and demographic regions can be used for additional purposes, such as evaluating travel comfort, track quality, train performance, and environmental conditions.

Project Outcomes

  • Control device with a touchscreen, built-in data storage, interfaces, audio system, and casing.
  • Indoor and outdoor environmental quality sensors.
  • Seat occupancy display set.
  • LCD monitor sets for vestibule (recessed casing), compartment (single-sided casing), and open-plan cars (double-sided casing).
  • LED route indicator set.
  • Specialized cable harness and connector set with an antenna.
  • Specialized kernels, embedded software, test programs, and communication modules required for hardware operation.
  • Type certifications and documentation.
